The city enlarged the children’s best photographic art and proudly displayed it on designated posters all over Vancouver. We even managed to publish a little book about that project called, Awareness Through Photography. It went into most Vancouver elementary schools. I think the Vancouver Public Library still has a copy kicking around, as does the Toronto Library. My “boss” at city hall for all the artists was none other than Jack Shadbolt. The city planner was Jonathan Baker and the superintendent of schools in Vancouver, Dante Lupini.
