In Richmond, also impressive is that walking and cycling path-so beautifully conceived along Railway Avenue, all the way to Steveston. A leisurely stroll, makes you feel almost like a little kid again. As I leisurely strolled along the pathway, I saw a butterfly and was inspired to write the following song.
Nothing can be better than to watch a BUTTERFLY.
It takes away a lot of that stormy WEATHER,
now as the years FLUTTERED BY.
I realize, a butterfly is magic. It shows how little we really KNOW.
Helps us reach for the sky and life’s Flowers, it EMPOWERS,
and that’s why I still remember that special morning so.
It landed on our butter, I said, “please don’t Fly Away.
Father kind of chuckled and Mama said, “You know in some ways I think he wants to STAY!”
My little baby sister, filled with wonder, her eyes sparkled BRIGHT.
So many, many years ago, in the morning sunshine, its wings were blue, yellow and black and WHITE.
